The hoax was fueled by photos and videos showing Imran Khan injured, which were shared widely. It was also alleged that Pakistan army chief Asim Munir was behind Imran’s murder. To complicate matters, an unverified press release, allegedly from Pakistan’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, also circulated online, falsely claiming that Imran Khan had passed away. However, these claims are false, and the press release announcing his death is a fabrication. Where is Imran Khan now? Was he attacked in jail? Here are the answers to all your questions.
Where Is Pakistan’s Former Prime Minister Now?
Notably, Imran Khan is currently lodged in Adiala Jail in Rawalpindi. The former Prime Minister of Pakistan, has been facing multiple legal challenges since his ousting in April 2022. Imran Khan, the former Prime Minister of Pakistan, was sentenced to 14 years in prison for corruption in January. He had already spent over 18 months in jail by then. The video is actually from 2013, when Imran Khan, then the chairman of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf(PTI), fell from a forklift while being lifted onto a stage at an election rally in Lahore. He suffered a head injury in that fall, but it was not a recent incident.
