WWE Backlash 2025 has concluded successfully. Five matches occurred during the event, and four were related to championship rivalries. The company went to great lengths to design a show to engage fans. It was electrifying as it started with a Fatal 4-Way match in the kickoff. Then, the main event was filled with John Cena defending his Undisputed WWE Championship against Randy Orton. Every performer meets everything with powerful displays and exciting contests. However, fans heavily criticized Triple H’s decision making during the show. Going forward, we will look at the three main oversights of Backlash 2025 that may attract criticism toward Triple H.
Becky Lynch’s Loss
Lyra Valkyria was the one paired up with Becky Lynch for a Women’s Intercontinental Championship match at Backlash 2025. The bout was nonstop entertainment and evidence of marvelous athleticism. Becky began positively and sustained her impact during the whole match. When it comes to action, Backlash 2025 was a hit, despite the missing expected elements. Most of the spectators waiting for the bout were expecting Becky to take home a championship title, but it didn’t happen. In so doing, Triple H committed a misstep by not altering the Women’s IC Title. Becky had her debut on the World’s Greatest Arena at WrestleMania 41. This scenario was perfect for a big blunder in the title. The awarded Women’s IC title to Becky would have added more respectability to the championship.
No Surprise Returns at WWE Backlash 2025
Backlash 2025 fulfilled the action, but a few expected elements were left out. Although everybody is looking forward to unexpected moments, Backlash 2025 had nothing surprising. No returns took place either. It appeared like lots of people wished Goldberg would turn up to stir up trouble during the Pat McAfee vs. Gunther match, but he was nowhere to be found. John Cena vs. Randy Orton was one of the matches fans hoped would have a big return, such as The Rock. However, he didn’t show up. It would have been very useful if this company had a surprising twist to this show. A lot of fans will surely be let down when Triple H fails to be mysterious.
No Change in John Cena’s Way of Winning
Cena turned Cody Rhodes against by telling him he was the one who cheated as he attacked him with a low blow and used the title in his defeat at Elimination Chamber 2025. At WrestleMania 41, Cena used the same trick to win his 17th World Title back by delivering a low blow and calling for a title shot. The outcome at Backlash 2025 was the same. Cena used a low blow and a title shot to win over Randy Orton again. The same tactic viewed more times might be boring to the viewers. Triple H should have made some modifications to the storyline to make it fresh. If Triple H doesn’t create radical changes to Cena’s heel-like persona, there is a chance of being repetitive as well as uninteresting. If Cena wants to continue preserving the integrity of the character he’s playing, he will have to change tack soon.
