It’s common parctise these days for WWE to release wrestlers. It seems that news storeys with dramatic situations are happening regularly now. In 2023 more than 15 stars have already been given their release from the company such as Braun Strowman and Dakota Kai.. The same thing occurred in 2020. Most of you will be aware that AEW often brings in wrestlers who left WWE. There are many famous WWE stars who have joined AEW. It’s likely that Tony Khan is still waiting to recruit some more legends for his company. The next step is to introduce three wrestlers who were released by WWE and could appear on AEW very soon.
Braun Strowman
Many fans were surprised when WWE let go of Braun Strowman on May 2, 2025. It was the second occasions where he had been let go by the company. It was first released in the year 2021. No one could understand why Strowman was let go by the company after having done well. Everybody was left stunned after learning about what happened. Braun Strowman holds a major position in wrestling. He has worked in the field for more than ten years. Most companies are likely to offer top salaries. It is likely that Tony Khan is closely watching him. It’s likely that Strowman wants to sign with AEW at this point. Over there, he may be able to get better salaries. It is possible that Strowman could be strongly supported and promoted right from the beginning.

Dakota Kai
WWE also released Dakota Kai in May 2025. In recent years, Kai’s performance in the company was strong. It looked as though she was destined to hold the Women’s World Championship, yet she did not achieve this. People were all surprised when they heard the company had let her go. Kai has won many accolades from those involved in the wrestling world. She is fully qualified with her experience. She might end up becoming a member of AEW in the near future. This environment would give her a good chance to improve. It seems Tony Khan is trying to get Kai involved in AEW.
Jinder Mahal
WWE let go of Jinder Mahal in the year 2024. WWE surprised everyone by acting in a major way toward him. She has won various honours while working in WWE. After he left WWE, Mahal has become very well-known in the independent wrestling world. He has scored some huge achievements in specific tournaments. It is possible that Mahal signs a contract with AEW in the near future. His choice to join AEW makes sense. At a different team, he might be given more support and better compensation according to what he can do. Mahal proved his potential in becoming a ring leader and Tony Khan could see the flag of victory flutter in his hand. It would help tremendously in advancing his professional wrestling career as well.
