The former Indian skipper and former head coach Anil Kumble has praised the RCB’s star Krunal Pandya for his outstanding performance in yesterday’s clash against DC. Krunal received the Player of the Match recognition after hitting 73 runs off 47 balls by hitting five fours and four sixes. The 163 runs required by RCB fell in 18.3 overs because of their powerful hitting. Southpaw began his innings from the top of a platform as his team faced a challenging situation at 26-3 in four overs. RCB earned their victory through Virat Kohli and Krunal Pandya’s fourth wicket combination which ended with 119 runs scored.
Anil Kumble’s Views On Krunal Pandya’s Performance
“I think his judgment of the situation was excellent. When he walked in, RCB were 26 for 3. He knew he had to build a partnership with Virat Kohli, which he did once he settled in. When the spinners came on, he backed himself to attack if the ball was in his arc, and it worked because he was playing well and understood the pitch and conditions. It was an excellent knock,” Kumble told ESPNcricinfo.

“Clearly, the RCB management wanted Krunal to step up. This situation was similar to how things unfolded at Chinnaswamy Stadium during their first three games, where they struggled to put a team performance together. It was crucial that someone built a partnership, and Krunal put his hand up,” Kumble added.
Krunal Pandya’s Performance In Match Against DC
When RCB’s batting order collapsed to 26-3 it appeared challenging for the team to pursue 163 runs but then Krunal Pandya stepped in to save the game. Pandya became captain and collaborated with Kohli to establish the partnership. In 47 balls he faced Krunal Pandya broke 73 which included 5 boundaries and 4 sixes before winning the match against RCB. Krunal demonstrated remarkable performance against the bowling attacks in addition to his success against the bowling. Pandya endured 28 runs during his four overs while delivering a fundamental performance against Du Plessis.
