‘BCCI Went Crying To ICC’ – Rashid Latif’s Unnecessary Attack On Indian Cricket Board Over Champions Trophy

Former Pakistan cricketer Rashid Latif has launched an unnecessary attack on BCCI and has stated that PCB kept foot on BCCI's tale by including venues of POK in Champions Trophy tour.

The ICC Champions Trophy 2025 is scheduled to be held in Pakistan however, clouds of danger are wandering over the tournament after India’s refusal to travel to the neighbouring country. BCCI wants Team India’s matches to be shifted outside Pakistan due to security concerns. While, the ICC announced the schedule of the ICC Champions Trophy tour in Pakistan, places which were part of the Pakistan Occupied Kashmir were also included. However, as per reports, India expressed a strong oppose of the move from the Pakistan Cricket Board due to which places which where the Champions Trophy was scheduled earlier.

Rashid Latif Launches Attack On BCCI

Former Pakistan cricketer Rashid Latif launched an attack on BCCI and in conversation with Nauman Niaz and stated that PCB kept a foot on BCCI’s tale by scheduling Champions Trophy tour in Azad Kashmir (POK). He said, “PCB put the foot on BCCI’s tail by adding Muzaffarabad, Azad Kashmir in trophy tour venues. BCCI went crying to ICC to stop PCB from doing it, it was very smart move from PCB. BCCI were left screaming.”

While, ICC has released the schedule of the Champions Trophy tour in Pakistan, the venues such as Muzaffarabad which is part of Pakistan Occupied Kashmir (POK) has been removed and the tour will be held in other cities across Pakistan. There have been rumours that the tournament can be shifted to South Africa if its not held in Pakistan. Also, Pakistan Cricket Board is expected to suffer a loss of INR 52 crore if they look to boycott the tournament.
