In a recent conversation with Star Sports, many cricket experts including England’s Kevin Pietersen, India’s Suresh Raina, Murali Vijay, Aakash Chopra, Sanjay Bangar and Deep Das Gupta predicted their top 4 i.e. the semifinalists for the Champions Trophy. But what created confusion was Suresh Raina’s reply about asking for his top 4 picks. He picked up India, Australia, South Africa and Afghanistan as his top four contenders.

Kevin Pietersen picked India, Pakistan, England and Australia while Murali Vijay included India, Pakistan, Australia and South Africa as his top four picks. Aakash Chopra included India, New Zealand, South Africa adn Afghanistan. Sanjay Bangar pucked India, Pakistan, South Africa and Australia. Deep Das Gupta on the opther hand picked India, Pakistan, Australia and England.

Group A And Group B
Suresh Raina picked Australia, South Africa and Afghanistan which all belong to Group B. He picked only India from Group A. Group A consists of Pakistan, India, New Zealand and Bangladesh, while Group B includes Australia, England, South Africa and Afghanistan. In Champions Trophy only 8 teams take part and are divided into two groups of four. In the Semifinals top 2 teams from both groups further play against each other to enter the Finals.

The Champions Trophy is set to kick off things on Wednesday when the host will be playing against the Black Caps. Spectators are eager to watch out for the clash of both the powerhouses and want to witness if the Pakistanis can make a comeback from the loss of the tri-series that they suffered at the hands of the Kiwis. The match is scheduled to take place at the National Stadium, Karachi on 19 February.
