India’s Champions Trophy 2025 matches at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium (DICS) are expected to witness a thrilling show. India’s three group-stage matches will be against Bangladesh on February 20, Pakistan on February 23, and New Zealand on March 2.
New Pitches For India’s Matches
The Dubai International Cricket Stadium has had plenty of cricket matches hosted there in the last year with the Women’s T20 World Cup, men’s U-19 Asia Cup, and highly popular ILT20 league hosted by the Emirates Cricket Board (ECB). During the ILT20, the stadium held 15 games, with two knockout stages.
“There are 10 match strips at the DICS. During the league stage, there was specific instructions that those two won’t be used now and needed to be kept fresh for the Champions Trophy,” a source in the know of things told PTI.

Spinners Likely To Gain The Limelight
In the past, the Dubai pitch has been a pacers’ paradise, offering them ample chances to pick wickets. But for the Champions Trophy, quick-pitching spinners could prove to be a game-changer. With the new tracks available, India’s spin attack can be the difference-maker in the kind of conditions likely to be faced.
India’s Spin Attack For Champions Trophy
India has picked five spinners in their 15-man team for the Champions Trophy 2025: Ravindra Jadeja, Axar Patel, Washington Sundar, Kuldeep Yadav, and Varun Chakravarthy. Among them, Jadeja and Patel are likely to play in the playing XI, with Kuldeep Yadav probable to occupy the third position as a spinner. The success of this spin attack could be a turning point for India in securing victory in the tournament.
With new pitches and spin-friendly conditions, India’s spinners will be responsible for India’s success in the league matches at DICS.
Advantage Of New Pitch For India
For India the new pitches at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium (DICS) will prove to be a huge boost. These freshly laid tracks should yield a good contest between ball and bat, presenting India’s pacers with the chance to take advantage of early movement while also enabling their spinners to make the most of subtle variations. With pace and spin being major factors, the new conditions may favor India, providing their players with the perfect setting to express themselves. The even bounce and uniformity of the pitches will also assist the Indian batters in playing with ease, giving them a great platform to confront their rivals in the deciding group-stage encounters.
