David Miller has achieved a big milestone as he scored the fastest century in the history of Champions Trophy in just 67 balls. He leaves behind England’s Josh inglis (2025) and India’s Virender Sehwag (2002) who achieved their ton in 77 balls.
Even though Miller achieved this significant milestone, his efforts were in vain as the Proteas failed to qualify for the Champions Trophy final. The Kiwis have reserved a place for themselves in the finals with India. Both the teams will try to clinch the title. For the Kiwis Rachin Ravindra scored 108 runs putting his team in dominating position. There were two centurions one Ravindra and the other was former New Zealand skipper, Kane Williamson who scored 102 runs after being dropped on 51.
The Proteas bowlers were not impressive and failed to create an impact. Only Ngidi could pick 3 wickets while other bowlers struggled against the mighty Kiwis.
