Robinson predicted the wicket will offer early seam and bounce on Day 1 before tailing off perhaps a balance between bat and ball as the match wears on.

“They (England) just want to have a good surface so it’s true, really, so we can hit through the line of the ball. That’s really what they’re looking for,” Richard Robsinon, head of grounds at Leeds, was quoted as saying by ‘ESPNCricinfo’.

These conditions will most likely support England’s aggressive batting approach but may equally serve to even the playing field for a transitioning Indian side.
