India lost the third Test at iconic Lords by 22 runs following which England now has 2-1 lead in the series. In the second innings, India’s batting order completely collapsed and at 112/8 the hopes to win completely seem to have vanished bur Ravindra Jadeja came in to bat and stood till the end as the sole warrior. Even the top effort from Jasprit Bumrah and Mohammed Siraj to hold the partnership from the other side was commendable.
Jadeja scored 30 runs with Nitish Reddy the 35 runs with Jasprit Bumrah and 23 runs with Mohammed Siraj. He batted brilliantly and even though India was bowled out for 170, he remained not out at 61 and showed his masterclass. Indian Captain Shubman Gill also hailed Jadeja’s effort and mentioned that he just wanted Jadeja to bat till the end.
