Gujarat Titans handed Mumbai Indians their second consecutive defeat in IPL 2025 by 36 runs at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad. Though the match featured a number of exciting moments, the talking point was MI captain Hardik Pandya and GT spinner R Sai Kishore’s staredown. But post-match, Sai Kishore did not let the incident blow out of proportion and called Hardik a “good friend.”
What Happened Between Hardik Pandya & Sai Kishore?
The spat took place at the fourth ball of the 15th over when Hardik played straight back to the bowler. On his way back to take it, Sai Kishore shot a glare of defiance at the MI skipper. To return the glance, Hardik turned his arm into a loose ball and seemed to utter a rude word. Digging his toes in, however, Sai Kishore just kept looking till the umpire intervened smartly to stop the situation from getting out of hand.
Sai Kishore Breaks Silence On The Incident
After the game, Ian Bishop interviewed Sai Kishore for the host broadcaster and began by saying, “No love lost with Hardik?”
“He’s a good friend of mine, inside the field it should be like that. Inside the field, anybody is an opponent, but we don’t take things personally.” Sai Kishore replied
“We are good competitors. That’s how I think the game should be,” he added
After the incident both of them hugged each other and everything was clear.
