New Delhi: Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) were invited to bat first after Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) captain Faf du Plessis won the toss at the Eden Gardens in Kolkata on Thursday.
RCB gets early breakthrough
RCB bowlers gave KKR a tough fight at their home ground as they lost early wickets. But Rahmanullah Gurbaz played fighting innings as KRR fought back in the game. In his whole innings Gurbaz smashed six boundaries and three sixes at the strike rate of 129.55. But in 11.2 overs Karn Sharma gave RCB much needed breakthrough as he removed Gurbaz.

Willey’s back-to-back strike
David Willey fired on KKR batting line-up as he picked up two consecutive wickets and both bowled.
David Willey from over the wicket to left handed Venkatesh Iyer, cleaned him up. RCB have their first wicket!
Next up, Mandeep Singh came in. And WILLEY Got the ball to kiss his off stump! Two wickets in two balls. Both bowled. From over the wicket, with the wobbled seam delivery. Willey was on a hattrick! Denied by Nitish Rana but what an over it’s been for RCB after 14 runs went in the previous one.
