According to a report by The Indian Express, several important issues cropped up in the Team India camp. The most prominent of these was the tussle between Gambhir, Rohit, and the BCCI selectors over several issues. After the defeat to Australia in the fourth Test in Melbourne, Gambhir was said to be irked and told the team that he had “had enough” and from then on, the team would play according to his strategies.

There were also controversies over team selections, especially the choice of players like Harshit Rana and Washington Sundar. According to reports, it was Gambhir who had asked for the inclusion of Cheteshwar Pujara in the Australia squad, but the request went unapproved by the selection committee headed by Ajit Agarkar.

While these acrimonious battles could suggest chinks in the dressing room walls, it’s that these had become public spats when they should be solved in-house, which seems to be to which Pathan is pointing via his post. Interestingly, the batsman shares his playing turf with Gambhir, Rohit, and Agarkar.

The Original Kaanta Laga Girl: ‘It Was My Good Fortune That The Big Hit Song Came To Me’

Ashaji recalls Kaanta laga as an upbeat folk dance number  composed by Rahul Dev Burman. “It was peppy and catchy. We were all humming the  song when shooting it. But did I think it would become such a rage in retrospect? No! Success on that level cannot be predicted by anyone. I remember the song Maar diya jaye ke chhor diya jaye in my film Mera Gaon Mera Desh. That too became such craze, although Lataji’s other  songs  in the film were also outstanding.”
