Karun Nair’s First Reaction After Getting Selected In India’s Test Squad For England Tour, Says ‘It’s About Keeping My…’

Karun Nair has played a key role in Delhi Capitals and his return in IPL 2025 was incredible. He scored 198 runs with an average of 24.75 and a strike rate of 172.17.

Karun Nair received India call-up after 8 years following which he expressed how he felt after getting to know about his selection. He mentioned that this was the moment he was waiting for and the 33-year old batter was grateful to be back. He is popularly known for his triple century in Test cricket and was present in International setup since 2017.

He had an exceptional domestic season that forced selectors to pick him, in the Ranji Trophy he amassed 863 runs in 9 matches this also included four centuries. In Vijay Hazare Trophy he scored 779 runs in just 8 innings which also included five centuries. His fantastic performance was the reason Vidarbha won their maiden Ranji Trophy title.

“Grateful to get back, happy and proud and fortunate. Found out like all of you found out (about his selection). Was eagerly awaiting the call, got a lot of messages from close ones,” Nair said

“Really happy and proud. Have been batting well in the last 12-16 months. It’s about keeping my processes the same and do the same things that have worked for me,” Nair said.
