The innings was not only for the win but also marked the occasion when he became the fastest player to achieve 5000 runs in the history of IPL, reaching this milestone in a mere 130 innings. He overtook legends such as David Warner (135 innings), Virat Kohli (157), AB de Villiers (161), and Shikhar Dhawan (168).
