Vidarbha’s star batter Karun Nair reached a remarkable feat in his career as he surpassed 8000 runs in First-Class Cricket during the ongoing Ranji Trophy final against Kerala at the VCA Stadium in Jamtha, Nagpur on Wednesday, February 26. The milestone came as Karun Nair scored 10 runs batting first for Vidarbha after Kerala won the toss.

Karun Nair featured in his 114th FC match and entered the game when Vidarbha was struggling at 24 for 3. Nair walked in at number 5 in the 13th over. This milestone highlights Karun Nair’s consistency and determination in First-Class cricket.
Karun Nair’s Recent Achievements
The 33-year-old, who made a resounding comeback to the limelight of cricket with a great show in the Vijay Hazare Trophy, scored 752 runs, comprising five centuries off seven innings. Nair has also been outstanding in the second half of the Ranji Trophy. He registered a century in Vidarbha’s last league match against Hyderabad and then hit his 22nd First-Class century in the quarterfinal triumph over Tamil Nadu.
