Former New Zealand cricketer Kane Williamson had lavish praise for Mohammad Siraj’s brilliant bowling performance against his previous team Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) during their IPL 2025 game. Williamson singled out how Siraj bowled aggressively and in an intense fashion, leading the attack for Gujarat Titans’ (GT) when they dominated and won by a resounding eight wickets in M. Chinnaswamy Stadium.

Mohammed Siraj’s Incredible Performance Against RCB

Siraj came up with a masterful spell, taking 3/19, which was the precursor to GT’s victory. His initial breakthroughs had RCB stumbling at 42/4 and eventually limiting them to 169/8 in 20 overs. His performance also fetched him the Player of the Match award.

Kane Williamson Appreciates Siraj

“Siraj is obviously familiar with the conditions at M. Chinnaswamy Stadium. He bowled with real fire in his belly, led the attack with aggression, and bowled with some excellent pace. He was deservedly named Player of the Match. While Jos Buttler was outstanding and back to his best in the second innings, Siraj set the tone early on, making a significant impact for GT,” Williamson said on JioHotstar.

GT’s Clinical Chase Led By Buttler & Rutherford

Pursuing 170, Shubman Gill (14) and Sai Sudharsan (49) gave GT a quick start. The run chase was later controlled by Jos Buttler, who hit a six off Livingstone to complete his fifty in 31 balls.

Sherfane Rutherford also played a scorching cameo, making 30 from 18 balls, while Buttler stayed on 73, leading GT to win in 17.5 overs.
