Virat Kohli’s incredible century guided India towards dominant six-wicket win in ICC Champions Trophy 2025. With this knock Kohli etched his name in history by surpassing Sachin Tendulkar’s record as the fastest player to reach 14,000 runs. He also became the fastest player to cross the 9,000, 10,000, 11,000, 12,000 and 13,000 runs milestone. With the win over Pakistan, India now has a week off before their crucial final group-stage match against New Zealand on Sunday in Dubai.

During the match, Virat raced to his 23rd fifty in ICC ODI events, tying with legendary Sachin Tendulkar. However, one of the most special moments of the match came in the 13th over bowled by Haris Rauf when he hit a brilliant drive to the left of mid-off for a four, completing his 14,000 ODI runs. He is the third batter after Sachin Tendulkar (18,426 runs in 463 ODIs) and Kumar Sangakkara (14,234 runs in 404 matches) to reach the milestone.

As Virat Kohli scored his century he gestured crowd and seemed to give everyone the satisfaction that “calm down I am here to handle everything”. This gesture has gone immediately viral and taken the internet by a storm.
