Warner was devastated to find out that his Australian cap was missing from bagpack as he travelled to play his final Test match for the Kangaroos at the Sydney Cricket Ground against Pakistan.

“Unfortunately this is my last resort, to do this,” Warner said in a post on Instagram, revealing he has reviewed CCTV footage of the team hotel and Qantas without luck.

“Unfortunately someone has taken my backpack out of my actual luggage, which had my backpack and my girls’ presents in there. Inside this backpack was my baggy greens. That’s sentimental to me, it’s something I would love to have back in my hands, walking out there come this week.”

“If it’s the backpack you really wanted, I have a spare one here. You won’t get into any trouble… I’m happy to give this to you if you return my baggy greens.” he added.

David Warner’s father Howard called out the person who took out the bag on radio and said “Whatever scumbag has taken it is going to have to lay it off very shortly. They’ll find it dumped somewhere. I know he’s emotional. He would love to walk out with the baggy green on.”
