A piece of bad news has arrived for Team India on the first day of the Lord’s Test. Rishabh Pant got hurt while keeping wickets, following which he was forced out of the field. Dhruv Jurel came in as a replacement to attend to the gloves. It occurred while playing the 34th over of the innings. During the second session of the first day of the India-England Test match at Lord’s, the Indian team and supporters received this great shock when wicketkeeper Rishabh Pant left the field and began to walk towards the dressing room.

What Really Happened?
During the 34th over of the innings, a ball struck the fingers of the left hand of Rishabh Pant, following which he winced in agony. Physio was summoned on the ground, even after whose treatment Pant did not appear at ease. He was in severe pain. Pant was in such trouble that he departed from the field the moment the over was completed. In his stead, Dhruv Jurel was summoned on the field as a cover keeper. The deputy captain of India, Rishabh Pant, played a very crucial innings during the first test match at Leeds, where he smashed twin centuries. During the second Test match at Edgbaston, Pant could not perform well in the first innings but gave a good hand with the bat in the second innings by slamming a half century. England after winning the toss, opted to bat first which invited the visitors to the field to attack with the ball. Nitish Kumar Reddy came in the first over an picked up two crucial wickets of both the openers Ben Duckett and Zak Crawley and sent both of them packing.
