In the match, Brazil were the better team in terms of possession, number of passes and pass accuracy. The hosts secured four corners but couldn’t covert any of it to their advantage. During the first-half stoppage time, the hosts had come tantalisingly close to secure the lead but Igor Jesus’s brilliant header into the goal was stopped.

Brazilian fans must have missed their star striker-Neymar who didn’t feature in the match. However, the star-studded lineup did include the likes of Vinicius Jr, Igor Jesus and Danilo – Bruno Gumiares.

With the draw, Brazil are currently at the fifth spot with a total of 18 points in the standings of the South American FIFA World Cup 2026 Qualifiers . In 12 matches, Brazil have won five, lost four and drawn three. On the other hand, Uruguay are placed second with 20 points. In 12 matches, they have won five, lost two and drawn five.
