LSG won the toss at Ekana Stadium in Lucknow to secure their 26th match IPL 2025 victory against GT with six wickets in a complete performance at home. The start of the innings from opening batsmen Shubman Gill (60 off 38) and B Sai Sudharsan (56 off 37) produced a remarkable 120-run alliance which secured Gujarat Titans a strong beginning up to bat. The strong start made by the pair yielded GT only 180 runs before six wickets fell. In the later part of the innings LSG showed excellent defensive spirit because Ravi Bishnoi combined with Shardul Thakur to shut down GT’s offensives after the opening surge.

LG Super Giants started their run without Mitchell Marsh at the opening spot while Rishabh Pant maintained a steady beginning to their innings. Aiden Markram launched his scoring attack from the beginning resulting in 58 runs from his first 31 balls against the new ball delivery. Pooran teamed up with Nicholas throughout an influential batting partnership which built up at 61 runs from his 34 balls while maintaining both poise and power.
The challenging spell from Prasidh Krishna (2/26) created brief difficulties for GT when Pooran executed his determined approach while Badoni finished strongly with 28* runs off 20 balls to secure victory with three remaining balls. During the pressure-filled dot-ball moments at the end of the chase Badoni and Abdul Samad managed to stay composed and helped LSG complete the successful run. The triumph allowed LSG to reach four wins during the season and solidified their position as one of the top teams while making an authoritative statement in matches held at their home venue.
