New Delhi: Indian cricketers Rohit Sharma, Yashasvi Jaiswal and Mohammed Siraj have made big strides in the latest International Cricket Council (ICC) Test rankings released Wednesday. India’s captain Rohit moved into ninth place with knock of 80 and 57 in the second test against the West Indies in Port of Spain. He is the highest-ranked Indian batsman in Test rankings.

Behind Rohit, his teammate Rishabh Pant is one slot down in 12th place with 743 points and Virat Kohli remains in 14th place with 733 points.

Jaiswal reaches career highest ranking

After making an impressive debut against the West Indies, Yashasvi Jaiswal continue to climb up the ICC Test rankings with a career-highest 63 on the batting list after scoring 57 and 38 in the Test alone. In his second Test appearance, he moved up ten places.

Kane Williamson tops ICC Test ranking

Jaiswal still has work to get closer to being the world’s top-ranked batter, with Williamson still topped the chart, but some of his closest challengers have moved up notably after the fourth Ashes Test in Manchester.

Saud Shakeel career best performance against Sri Lanka

Pakistan’s Saud Shakeel set a career-high in the latest Test rankings as he set a double hundred record in his first Test against Sri Lanka, he moved up 12 spots from 15th.

Australian right-hander and former No. 1 hitter Manus Labuschagne moved up to three places to second overall since Century at Old Trafford, while England trio Joe Root (up three places to three).

Mohammed Siraj laeding India’s pace attack

Harry Brooke (up 2 places to 11th) and Zak Crawley (up 13 places to 35th) made good progress. In-form Indian speedster Mohammed Siraj was a big winner after his team drew in the second test against the West Indies in Trinidad. The right-arm pacer climbed six place to 33rd on the overall bowlers list, setting a new career high.

Ashwin tops bowlers chart

Siraj secured a five-wicket haul over the West Indies in the first innings of the 2 matches series. Ravindra Jadeja has moved up to 6th in the bowler rankings, but Indian spinner Ravichandran Ashwin remains at the top, South African pacer Kagiso Rabada (2nd) and Australian captain Pat Cummins is on (3rd).
