ICC Rankings: Rishabh Pant has convincingly overhauled his teammate Virat Kohli in the ICC Test rankings and has climbed to the sixth position. This is after a magnificent counter-attacking innings of 99 that he got in the second innings of the first Test in New Zealand. Meanwhile, Kohli, who scored a fluent 70 in Bengaluru, slid down to eighth position.

Jaiswal Leads Indian Rankings

Opener Yashasvi Jaiswal has still emerged as India’s highest-ranked batter at the fourth position. Skipper Rohit Sharma has slipped two places to joint 15th, sharing that spot with Sri Lanka’s Dimuth Karunaratne.

Kiwi Players Soar Through The Ranks

In the updated list, New Zealand’s Rachin Ravindra jumped 36 places to 18th, and Devon Conway moved 12 places to 36th. Bowler Matt Henry also gained two places on the list after taking eight wickets in the match during Bengaluru. That earned him a jump of two places to ninth.

Noman Ali And Sajid Khan Shine For Pakistan

Pakistan spinner Noman Ali took 11 wickets in the two innings against England and moved back to 17th position in the rankings. The same Pakistani side’s Sajid Khan leaped 22 slots to claim 50th after the declaration of the Player of the Match.

Indian Bowlers Remain Dominant

The pace bowlers remain at the top of the team with India’s spearhead in the first position, and Ravichandran Ashwin at the second number is very close to the list. Ravindra Jadeja has remained in the top 10 consistently, retaining his seventh position.
