IND vs BAN Test Series 2024: The second match of the Test series between India and Bangladesh will be played from September 27 at the Green Park Stadium in Kanpur. The Indian team is leading 1-0 after winning the first match of the series. In the Chennai Test, Team India came on the field with 3 fast bowlers and 2 spinners. Due to this, the fans were a bit surprised but India took this decision due to the red soil pitch. On which the fast bowlers took more wickets. Now, Team India’s game plan may change a bit in the Kanpur Test.

Bumrah May Get Rest

In the Chennai Test, both teams played on a red soil pitch, which was more helpful for fast bowlers. On the other hand, the Kanpur Test is going to have a black soil pitch, on which spinners dominate. In such a situation, Team India can take the field with a third-spin bowler.

On the other hand, the team management can give rest to fast bowler Jaspreet Bumrah from the second test match citing the long test season. Because after this, Team India has to play 3 Tests with New Zealand and 5 Tests with Australia, for which the team management would want Bumrah to be completely fit. Bumrah bowled a total of 21 overs in both innings of the Chennai Test.

Kuldeep Or Axar, Who Has The Upper Hand?

If Jasprit Bumrah is rested from the second Test match, then either Kuldeep Yadav or Axar Patel can get a chance as the third spin bowler in the playing eleven. However, Kuldeep Yadav seems to have an upper hand to play in the second Test. Earlier, Kuldeep had taken 19 wickets in the Test series against England. On the other hand, Team India has two excellent all-rounders in the form of Ashwin and Jadeja, so Axar Patel does not seem to have a place.
