IND vs AUS 2nd Test: Top-Five Moments At The End Of Day 1

The Australia national cricket team was rightly in command on Day 1 of IND vs AUS 2nd Test wherein they ended the day at 86/1 and will look to continue the same performance on next day.

Team India was pushed on the backfoot by the Australia national cricket team on Day 1 of IND vs AUS 2nd Test being played at the Adelaide Oval in Adelaide. The Aussies showcased a complete team performance on day 1 of the match and taken a driver seat in the match. Firstly, the Australian bowlers wrapped up the Indian team for a score of 180 runs wherein Mitchell Starc picked up a six-wicket haul followed by two wickets respectively by Scott Boland and Pat Cummins. Mitchell Starc dismissing Yashasvi Jaiswal For Golden Duck

Australian pacer Mitchell Starc and Yashasvi Jaiswal have been garnering headlines from the first Test. Jaiswal smashed a brilliant hundred during the first Test and took on Starc to play aggressive shots against him during the first Test. However, the latter got dismissed for a golden duck on Day 1 of IND vs AUS 2nd Test.

Mitchell Starc’s Six-Wicket Haul

There was a lot of pressure on Mitchell Starc during the IND vs AUS 2nd Test. In the absence of Josh Hazlwood, Starc was the leader of Australian bowling attack and led from the front by taking a six wicket haul and gave away just 44 runs to register his best bowling figures of Test career.

Nitish Kumar Reddy’s Counter Attack

The young Indian all-rounder took on the Australian bowlers including Mitchell Starc and Scott Boland. Nitish Kumar Reddy smashed Starc for a six down the ground whereas played a reverse sweep to Boland to disturb his line and length.

Jasprit Bumrah has turned upto be a complete bowler for the Indian cricket team in the past few years. The latter is counted under the list of greats such as Malcolm Marshall, Curtly Ambrose, Wasim Akram and many more. Bumrah picked up his 50th wicket in Test cricket in the year 2024 after dismissing Usman Khawaja.

Mohammed Siraj Throws Ball Back At Marnus Labuschagne

Mohammed Siraj is always known as an aggressive bowler. The latter wants the ball do the talking and keeps the environment charged up by having some conversation with the batter as well. Siraj lost his cool at Marnus Labuschagne when the Australian batter stepped away from the stumps due to some disturbance at the side screen. However, Siraj didn’t like it and threw the ball back at the batter’s end.
