IND vs AUS 4th Test: What Is The Most Successful Chase In Test Cricket At Melbourne Cricket Ground?

The India national cricket team will look to put up a big chase on Day 5 of IND vs AUS 4th Test at the Melbourne Cricket Ground.

Australia ended the Day 4 of IND vs AUS 4th Test at a score of 228/9 and currently lead by 333 runs in the first innings. Australian cricketers Nathan Lyon and Scott Boland added 55 runs for the final wicket towards the end of Day 4 which helped the hosts extend their lead over 300 runs. The Indian team is on one end, will look to wrap up the Australian innings as soon as possible and try to chase down the target on Day 5. However, Australia’s present lead is way too much, and more runs to it on Day 5 will add insult to the injury.

The Indian team ended up chasing down 326 runs in the previous Australian tour at ‘The Gabba’ in Brisbane. In the present time, the Indian side has a power-packed batting lineup and there are a lot of inform players. The Rohit Sharma-led side needs their top players including him, Virat Kohli and Rishabh Pant to deliver a decent batting performance. If they are able to do so, chasing down the target isn’t impossible for the Indian team.
