Brydon Carse to Jadeja, 1 run, 131ks short of length outside off, Jadeja stabs it to deep cover and brings up the 150 for India. Massive round of applause from the Indian fans...
After an incredible win at Edgbaston, Birmingham, the Indians are out again to dominate at the iconic Lord’s and take the lead in this 5-match Test series. Shubman Gill, the newly inducted skipper for the team, has outshone every other batter in the series. Jasprit Bumrah, who was benched for the 2nd Test, has been brought back by the visitors. Jofra Archer has also made his return for the English side.

Stokes to Bumrah, out Caught by (sub)Sam Cook!! Jadeja wears a helpless look. Bumrah is crossed as he walks back to the pavilion
Stokes to Bumrah, no run, oh he gets into a tangle against this short delivery! It's banged into the pitch, Bumrah shuffles across and makes a last-moment decision to pull. Mistimes it off the splice in front of short leg and Stokes has his hands on the head
Stokes to Bumrah, no run, cuts in from short of length, goes past the inside edge in defence and strikes Bumrah on the back thigh
Bumrah now involved in two of India's longest nine-wicket stands at Lord's - 120 balls with Shami in 2021 and 81 balls and counting this innings
Brydon Carse to Jadeja, no run, good length ball wide of off, left alone
Woakes to Jadeja, SIX, to deep mid-wicket
Jofra Archer to Bumrah, no run, oh he looks to slog this into the on-side! Back of a length just outside off, Bumrah shuffles across and has a big swipe across the line but there's extra bounce and it whistles past the edge. Bumrah looks to the heavens in disappointment and then has a big smile
Jofra Archer to Jadeja, FOUR, loose delivery and it goes to the boundary! Full ball straying down leg, Jadeja gets a bit of bat on it and helps it past the keeper
Woakes to Nitish Reddy, out Caught by Jamie Smith!! Woakes has done it. The partnership has been broken. Woakes is off on a celebratory run and the rest of the England team follow him.
Brydon Carse to Nitish Reddy, 2 runs, did that brush the leg-stump? It was very close. Full and outside off, Reddy is drawn into the drive and the ball decks in, squirts off the inside edge and bounces close to the leg-stump before rolling to fine leg
Brydon Carse to Jadeja, 1 run, nearly a mix-up. This pair have had their share of miscommunications in the first innings. But the running has been better in this innings. Jadeja tucks it backward of square leg and called for two, Reddy responded but he is quickly sent back.
Brydon Carse to Jadeja, no run, uhhh! That's a brave leave. Back of a length delivery and it does not bounce,
Brydon Carse to Jadeja, no run, nearly! Could Smith have dived across?
Jofra Archer to Jadeja, 5 wides, 144ks bouncer that is far too high. Jadeja barely had any time to react and it escapes past the one-handed leaping effort of Smith behind the stumps...
Jofra Archer to Washington Sundar, out Caught&Bowled!! India are crumbling. The pace of Archer proving too good. 140ks very full and angled in towards middle and leg. Sundar closed the bat face a fraction early and ended up skewing it off the bottom of the blade to the right of the keeper. Archer shows excellent reflexes to stretch his right hand and grab it inches above the turf. Made that look incredibly easy there.
Stokes to Rahul, out Lbw!! You cannot take the ball away from Stokes. He has bowled some incredible spells this game and this wicket should taste the sweetest
Jofra Archer to Jadeja, FOUR, 147ks seam-up length delivery keeps a touch low around off, Jadeja looks to block and takes his bottom hand off the blade while at it. The outside edge dies down quickly and escapes past the diving left hand of second slip
Jofra Archer to Pant, out Bowled!! The off stump has gone for a walk. This is why Jofra Archer was brought on in place of Carse. Angled in on a length from wide of the crease
Jofra Archer to Pant, FOUR, to long-on,
Stokes to Rahul, no run, past the edge! Angles in and straightens at the last minute outside off
Stokes to Akash Deep, out Bowled!! Cleaned up! What a finish! Stokes is pumped. England are jubliant as they walk off the field. A classical Stokes dismissal. Angled in from a fullish length, Akash Deep is caught in the crease and plays down the wrong line, the ball straightens to beat the outside edge and flatten the off-stump. The short leg coming in might have put in doubts in Akash Deep's mind as he was cemented to the crease.
Brydon Carse to Akash Deep, no run, 138ks good length ball around off, Deep blocks it back to Carse and he has an animated chat with the batter. Akash Deep tells him to get on with it
Brydon Carse to Gill, out Lbw!! Carse on fire. England cock-a-hoop. India in a bit of trouble. Gill never looked at ease since he arrived to the crease. England were aggressive towards him and Carse has managed to nip him out. Another nip-backer and Gill's feet don't move much, he's beaten on the inside edge and struck on the knee roll. Ball-tracking showed it to be smashing into middle-stump.
Brydon Carse to Karun Nair, out Lbw!! Carse strikes! Error in judgement and Nair is gone. Seemed like he started to walk before umpire Paul Reiffel raised his finger but he was struck on the knee and moved away to gather himself. Nip-backer and Nair does not judge it well, shoulders arms and is struck on the leg. The impact didn't matter as he wasn't playing a shot and umpire Reiffel had his finger up in a flash. Nair did have a word with Rahul but the pair decide against the review. Just the boost England needed with 30 minutes to go.
Brydon Carse to Rahul, no run, 136ks yorker length on off, Rahul digs it off the toe-end to second slip
Woakes to Karun Nair, no run, once more released from wide of the crease, good length ball and Nair defends on top of the bounce
Woakes to Rahul, FOUR, back to back boundaries. Woakes floats one up outside off and Rahul does not miss out,
Jofra Archer to Jaiswal, out Caught by Jamie Smith!! Twice in two innings Archer gets rid of Jaiswal, that too without letting him score a single run off him. Banged in short outside off at 141kph, he goes for the pull but it gets too big on him and he's in no control. The line isn't ideal for the shot either as he has to fetch it. Ends up getting a thick top-edge and it goes straight up. A dolly for the keeper.
Washington Sundar to Bashir, out Bowled!! Again he hits the stumps and again it's the drift doing the trick. Washington finishes with a four-fer, and the target for India will be 193! It's slightly shorter than a good length, drifts away and Bashir is beaten on the outside edge in defence after dancing down the pitch. The ball crashes into off stump
Bumrah to Woakes, out Bowled!! Woakes gets cut in half with a delivery nipping back down the slope! Up go the arms from Bumrah as he wheels away in celebration. Back of a length, comes in sharply, keeps low perhaps as Woakes tries punching it through the off-side and he drags it off the inside edge onto the top of leg stump.
Bumrah to Brydon Carse, out Bowled!! Inch-perfect yorker from Bumrah and he finally opens his account in the second innings! England are falling apart at Lord's. It's speared in at high pace, Carse is slightly late to get the bat down, might've played down the wrong line too and it fizzes past him to cannon into the base of leg stump.
Washington Sundar to Stokes, out Bowled!! Washington is drifting this game in India's favour!
Washington Sundar to Stokes, no run, tossed up outside off, drifting in, Stokes gets forward and defends
Jadeja to Woakes, no run, 98ks short of length sliding in, Woakes knocks it into the leg-side. That will be tea on day 4
Washington Sundar to Jamie Smith, out Bowled!! Knocked 'im! Washington on fire. He's off on a celebratory run while Gambhir remains stoic on the balcony. This is a massive wicket because Smith can score quickly. It is that drift which Washington gets that's deceived Smith. He was hanging back to this flatter delivery, plays down the wrong line as the ball beats the outside edge and crashes into the off-stump. It kept a tad low as well but it was the away drift that beat Smith there.
Washington Sundar to Root, out Bowled!! Cleaned up! Sundar has broken the partnership and given India the much needed breakthrough. No. 1 batter bowled behind his legs, now the no. 2 batter is bowled behind his legs. Very similar to the Brook dismissal. Root sits down to sweep but leaves his leg-stump exposed, the ball drifts in and sneaks past his swinging blade to clatter into leg-stump.
Jadeja to Stokes, no run, sharp turn from the rough, Stokes goes deep in the crease and manages to keep it out
Siraj to Stokes, leg byes, 1 run, 140ks leg-lined delivery, Stokes is rushed on the flick and he misses, deflected off the pad
Siraj to Root, 2 runs, a bit fuller and Root clips it all along the ground to the left of deep square. A long chase for Bumrah and he manages to keep it down to a double
Bumrah to Stokes, FOUR, past the fielder. Stokes throws the kitchen sink at a short and wide delivery
Akash Deep to Stokes, no run, 136ks good length in the channel outside off, Stokes looks to slash it away on the off-side and gets beaten on the outside edge
Bumrah to Stokes, no run, good length ball angling in around off, Stokes defends forward and that will be lunch on Day 4
Akash Deep to Brook, out Bowled!! That's the thing about the risk-taking approach Brook had adopted, when it doesn't come off, it doesn't look great. He has been dismissed while looking to premeditatedly sweep Akash Deep! Pitched right up and slanted in at the stumps, probably anticipating a funky shot, and Brook obliges. He bends across to sweep and is bowled behind his legs as the ball sneaks through to crash into middle. Huge celebrations from Akash Deep who didn't enjoy the treatment he got in the previous over.
Akash Deep to Brook, SIX, now he goes down the ground and launches it over the ropes! Thrilling batting from Brook! Full delivery around off, he plants the foot down and smokes it through the line
Akash Deep to Brook, no run, oh audacious from Brook! Gives the charge and looks to whack it down the ground, only to get beaten on the outside edge. Full and wide outside off, swings away from him this time and goes through to the keeper
Nitish Reddy to Crawley, out Caught by Jaiswal!! Healthy edge on the drive, and it's taken by Jaiswal at gully! Nitish Reddy gives Crawley a send-off as India continue to dominate this morning session. Full delivery swinging away outside off
Siraj to Pope, out Lbw!! The Indian fielders swarm around Siraj as the Lord's erupts in joy. The nip-backer from Siraj, got the ball to shape in and hit Pope on the back pad. Pope wanted to play it down the ground, but his tentative foot work has once again cost him his wicket. Neither fully forward, nor back. Got caught in the crease as the ball snuck past the inside edge to hit him in line with middle stump. Siraj was super confident that Pope was a goner and managed to convince his skipper quite quickly. There were a couple of nervous faces when Gill signalled for the review, but the moment they saw three reds (was going to hit the top of leg peg according to ball tracker) it was proper theatre.
Bumrah to Crawley, FOUR, tad too full from Bumrah. The ball nipped in but Crawley was playing with hard hands there. Wanted to thump the drive on the up and got a thick inside edge that flew past the keeper to his left
Siraj to Duckett, out Caught by Bumrah!! There is the early breakthrough for India. Duckett showed signs of aggression and he perishes trying to hit Siraj down the ground. Siraj looks absolutely pumped up and he is celebrating in Duckett's face. A bit of shoulder tap as well. 140ks back of a length just outside off, Duckett looks to heave the pull down the ground and didn't get enough width on it. Drags it off the thick inside half and picks out the fielder at mid-on.
