In other news, India has surged to the top of the World Test Championship standings, overtaking New Zealand with a higher points percentage of 64.58. With an impressive record of five wins, two losses, and one draw in eight matches, India has accumulated 62 points. Meanwhile, New Zealand has slipped to the second position with 36 points from five matches, resulting in a points percentage of 60.00, following their defeat in the Wellington Test.

Australia, currently in third place, has gained 12 crucial points after the Wellington Test, bringing their total to 78 points from 11 matches. Their points percentage has also increased from 55 to 59.09. With a chance to surpass New Zealand and claim the second position, Australia will be closely watching the outcome of the second and final Test match between England and India in Christchurch starting on March 8.

As for the upcoming Test in Dharamsala, if England manages to defeat India, Australia could potentially ascend to the top spot in the rankings.
