New Delhi: India will face off against Ireland for three matches T20i series in August. rish Cricket Board’s Chief confirmed that India will visit Ireland in August this year for a T20I series, marking their second successive tour to Ireland in two years.
India vs Ireland: Previous encounter
Last year, India visited Ireland in June to play 2-matches T20i series. Where India defeated Ireland in both the matches. India won the 1st T20I by 7 wickets and the 2nd T20I by 4 runs. Hardik Pandya had led the team during the series as many key players were absent from the tour. Deepak Hooda also scored a marvelous T20I century during the series.

Ireland chance to direct qualify for WC
“Summer 2023 will be a feast of men’s cricket but will look very different to normal fans. We can today confirm India visiting Ireland for a second consecutive year and confirm the World Cup Super League series against Bangladesh will proceed in early May. This is on top of the already announced Test match at Lord’s in June and the three-match ODI series in September against England”, Warren Deutrom, Irish Cricket Board Chief Execute said.

Ireland to face Bangladesh in May
Although, Ireland have to play their final ODI Super League series against Bangladesh at Chelmsford in May, in a bid to maximise their chances of automatic qualification for the 50-over World Cup in India.
“We need to play and win the three games to qualify,” Warren Deutrom said.
“After in-depth consideration, it was decided that this approach gave us the best chance of securing automatic qualification, particularly given the fact that the matches have to be played before the World Cup Super League cut-off in mid-May,” he added.
