Travis Head Reveals the Truth Behind the Celebration
Speaking about the now-famous celebration, fellow opener Travis Head revealed a fun behind-the-scenes detail. “That note had been sitting in Abhishek’s pocket for the last six matches,” Head said with a smile after the game. “It was great to finally see him pull it out today.” His light-hearted comment had the team — and the media — laughing.

Later in the post-match press conference, Abhishek clarified his side of the story. “Actually, I wrote it this morning,” he said. “I usually write something down when I wake up. Today, I just had a feeling. I told myself, I need to do something special for the Orange Army. I’m glad it turned out to be my day.”
The Head-Abhishek Duo Seals the Win
Chasing a massive total of 245 runs set by Punjab Kings, few believed SRH could pull off the win — and certainly not with such ease. But Abhishek and Head had other plans.
The opening pair went on a rampage, scoring 171 runs together in just 12.2 overs. Abhishek hammered 141 runs off 55 balls, while Head played a crucial supporting role with 66 runs from 37 balls. SRH ended up winning the match with 9 balls to spare, pulling off one of the most dominant chases in IPL history.
From record-breaking batting to a heartfelt tribute to fans, Abhishek Sharma’s night had it all — and the Orange Army couldn’t be prouder.
