PCB clashing with IPL

This is for the first time that IPL and PSL are being held together at the same time. Pakistan’s elite tournament always avoids to clash with Indian cash-rich tournament but Champions Trophy 2025 being held during PSL’s window, PCB had no choice but to conduct the tournament in IPL’s window. Though PCB made some moves to reduce the damage to viewership by starting the matches an hour after the IPL start.

Hasan Ali made a bold statement

Karachi Kings’ Hasan Ali made a bold remark and said the viewers will leave IPL to watch PSL. “Fans watch the tournament where there’s good cricket with entertainment. If we play well in the PSL, viewers will leave the IPL to watch us,” Hasan had said in Geo News.

IPL is best – Said Sam Billings

Sam Billings, who is currently playing the PSL for Lahore Qalandars, but has also played in the IPL, declared the IPL as the best league in the world.

“You want me to say something silly? It’s hard to look past the IPL as the premier competition in the world; it’s very obvious, every other competition is just behind. In England (T20 Blast and The Hundred), we are trying to do the same as PSL, as the second-best competition in the world.”
