‘It Should Be A…’ Varun Chakravarthy Opines On The On Going No Ball Controversy

Varun Chakravarthy has shared his views on the on going no ball controversy that happened during the MI vs SRH match at the Wankhede Stadium yesterday.

The star bowler of MI Varun Chakravarthy tweeted his views about the on going no ball controversy which happened in the yesterdays MI vs SRH match at the Wankhede Stadium. The statements have resulted in new perspectives about misbehaviour in sports culture for both cricket enthusiasts and retired athletes. Hardik Pandya’s team clinched a victory against SRH by 4 wickets. The Mumbai batting lineup successfully chased down SRH’s target of 163 runs in just 18.1 overs after losing only six wickets.

What Is This Controversy About

MI’s Ryan Rickelton remained not out due to the wicketkeeper’s illegal actions, rather than typical bowler errors. Rickelton encountered Zeeshan Ansari for the seventh over when he stood at 21 runs after facing 18 balls in their pursuit of a simple 163-run target. The third umpire reversed the initial decision and sent Rickelton back to the boundary because he had originally called him out. Heinrich Klaasen from SRH violated cricket rules by having his gloves in front of the stumps when Ansari released the ball, triggering the no-ball rule due to technicalities.

Varun Chakravarthy’s Views About The Controversy

“If the keeper’s gloves come in front of the stumps, it should be a dead ball and a warning to the keeper so that he doesn’t do that again !!! Not a no-ball and a free hit!! What did the bowler do???? Thinking out loud!! What do u all think???” Chakravarthy wrote on his post.
