Bumrah to Undergo Match Simulation Before Return
Bumrah needs to participate in two practice matches also known as match simulations before playing in the IPL to ensure his health. The cricketing sources from Sports Tak predict that Bumrah will appear for his first match back after his injury in the Mumbai Indians’ April 13 fixture against Delhi Capitals which will take place at Arun Jaitley Stadium in New Delhi. MI must face Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) on April 7 without the services of Bumrah.
Return After Injury Layoff
Bumrah stopped playing matches starting from the fifth Test of the Border-Gavaskar Trophy 2024-25 in Australia because of lower back stress which caused him discomfort. Bumrah takes an extra cautious route toward recovery since India has its essential five-Test series against England starting June 28.
Mumbai Indians’ Struggles in Bumrah’s Absence
Mumbai Indians experienced disappointing results in the first four matches of IPL 2025 by winning only a single game. The team management has selected new prospects including Satyanarayana Raju Vignesh Puthur and Ashwani Kumar after Bumrah returned home. The absence of Bumrah has prompted Trent Boult and Deepak Chahar to lead the pace attack while captain Hardik Pandya supplies another seam option.
