Former Indian cricketer Aakash Chopra took an indirect jibe at 19-year-old Australian opener Sam Konstas and shares a post on his official 'X' handle.

19-year-old Sam Konstas took on the Indian bowlers from his first ball in international cricket. Konstas also got engaged into some heated arguments with Indian players such as Virat Kohli and Jasprit Bumrah during the fourth and fifth Test match of the Border-Gavaskar Trophy 2024-25. The young Australian batter has been part of headlines due to frequent reasons one of which was the shoulder barge incident with Virat Kohli and another one with Jasprit Bumrah where he tried to distract the Indian pacer and exchanged few words in the final moments of IND vs AUS 5th Test Day 1.

Aakash Chopra’s Indirect Jibe At Sam Konstas

Former Indian cricketer Aakash Chopra has taken an indirect jibe at Sam Konstas and has invited him on a tour to India. Sharing a cryptic post on ‘X’, Chopra wrote, “Konstas ka ek Test tour of India karva do…Kaun Tha Stas ho jayega (Let Konstas tour India once, he will become a ‘has been’)”. Konstas played some unorthodox shorts against Jasprit Bumrah during his first innings in international cricket, which showcased that he doesn’t fear any of the Indian cricketers. However, Aakash Chopra’s tweet is an indirect jibe at Sam Konstas in which stated that once the young Australian batter tours India he will become past as he struggles in the Indian conditions.
