How They Met
Tufani Saroj, a senior Samajwadi Party leader and Priya Saroj’s father, revealed that his daughter had met Rinku via a common acquaintance whose father is also a cricket player. They became friends and, with time, turned their friendship into a romance.
Priya Saroj is the present Member of Parliament from Uttar Pradesh’s Machhlishahr seat, which her father represented for three terms. Rinku Singh, in contrast, has emerged as a crowd favorite in Indian cricket, popularly remembered for his outstanding performances during T20 games.
After the official confirmation, Tufani Saroj came forward saying that the families had met in Aligarh this year. They decided to settle the wedding plans after the end of the IPL season.
