New Zealand Vs South Africa: New Zealand Won By 50 Runs, See Match Highlights, Scorecard

The New Zealand Cricket team has won the semifinals against South Africa and will be taking on India at the Champions Trophy finals in Dubai on 9 March.

The Kiwis have reserved a place for themselves in the finals with India. Both the teams will try to clinch the title. Rachin Ravindra played 108 runs innings. The New Zealand innings were always in a dominating position with two centurions in it comprising of the former New Zealand skipper, Kane Williamson as he hit 102 runs after being dropped on 51. The Proteas bowlers were not impressive and failed to create an impact. Apart from Lungi Ngidi’s 3 wickets and David Millers 100* all the other players could not manage to clinch wicket for the team and score runs which ended up in New Zealand making a monstrous total of 362 on the board and South Africa falling short of 50 runs.

Rabada and Mulder bagged 2 and 1 wickets respectively for themselves. The South African captain Temba Bavuma came to the crease in pursuit of the highest total of Champions Trophy history with Ryan Rickleton. They both seemed to be in good touch initially when Rickleton was dismissed by Matt Henry of mere 17 runs. The skipper played a stablising innings of 56 runs. Rassie van der Dussen gave a good hand with the bat by scoring 69 runs in just 66 deliveries. Finally the South African innings came to an end with David Miller’s century on 312/9.

Mitchell Santner displayed a good bowling spell by taking 3 crucial wickets Temba Bavuma, Rassie van der Dussen and Heinrich Klaasen. David Miller played an eye watering innings of 100* and escalated the excitement of the viewers till the last over of the South African innings.
