New Zealand finished the ODI series against Pakistan by claiming a 3-0 victory. Three awards were given during the series where Ben Sears received the Player of the Series title and Michael Bracewell became both Player of the Match and Player of the Series. The brief match offered plenty of action despite being reduced by overs because Rhys Mariu led New Zealand’s batting order at the beginning and Bracewell carried them forward in the latter stages of the innings. Pakistan left the tournament without a win as the hosts displayed consistent performance throughout the series to seal a complete victory.

Contrasting Reflections: Bracewell Praises Team Growth As Rizwan Looks To Move Forward
“When you have a few new guys you always want to do well. That’s pleasing. To win the series is added bonus. We have a clear style of how we want to play. I feel like we have done it this series. It’s great to see everyone coming in and doing it straightaway. (On the pacers) It was pretty amazing to watch them, they were fast and aggressive, used their height and bounce. It was great to see different guys stepping up.” said Bracewell
“Disappointing series for us. Babar played well, two fifties in this series. I give credit to New Zealand in all three departments. It’s difficult conditions for us here but they played good in Asian conditions as well. If you lose, you can’t say like that (when asked if today was their best performance). NZ won the key moments. After CT and this series, we’ll leave the past. PSL is a big tournament for us, hopefully we’ll give the people something to cheer.” said Mohammad Rizwan
Pakistan once again disappointed their fans by losing the ODI series by 0-3 against New Zealand just after losing the T20I series against the Blackcaps by 4-1.
