Test cricket dominance by Mitchell Starc
Starc’s skills went well beyond limited overs. In Test cricket, he achieved the impressive milestone of 300 wickets in just his 74th match. One of his career highlights also came in 2016 when he had a purple patch, taking 50 wickets at 22.5, across eight Tests, including an astonishing 11 wickets in Galle.
This form continued into the next chapter of his career when Starc was carrying on through the 2017-18 Ashes series. He took 19 wickets in the first three Tests and helped Australia retain the Ashes. The following series saw him in South Africa, delivering a match-winning performance with nine wickets in a dominant first Test victory in Durban.
