As the BCCI have announced the new schedule of IPL 2025. Many foreign players have decided to not return for the tournament due to commitment towards their national teams duty. But RCB’s explosive batter Phil Salt who was in the list of players likely not to return for the IPL matches is now excepted to return to his league team and here is the reason for his possible return for the IPL 2025.
Reason Behind Phil Salt’s Possible Return
As the England team have just revealed their squads for the ensuing white-ball series against West Indies which will comprise of three One Days from May 29 and three T20I games from June 6. Remarkably, the ODI squad has not selected Salt, which means he has no national duties in the ODI leg, which runs parallel to the rescheduled latter stage of the IPL. This exclusion from the ODI team is an important obstacle that, otherwise, would have required him to leave IPL early.
What Could Phil Salt’s Return Mean For RCB
It could not have come at a better time for RCB as the timing of Salt’s availability. As the IPL approaches its a make or break stage, each game assumes a huge precedence. Salt’s blistering begins and the ability to subdue Powerplays are principal to RCB wins, and he is still one of the best combine with Kohli in the tournament. A short period of absence after being unwell was a dent, however with there being no ODI obligations, and T20I duties not starting until post-IPL until the IPL, RCB can rely on the services of Salt when it counts the most.
