This was the first time ever that PSG secured a Champions league title, Ousmane Dembele played a very important role in their campaign. He scored 25 goals across the season and became one of the most impactful players for PSG. According to PSG Boss Luis Enrique, Ousmane Dembele deserves to win the Ballon d’Or.

“Everyone’s talking about the Ballon d’Or, I would give it to Ousmane Dembele. Just because of, if we think about how he defended today. He showed just what he was made of. He was a leader, he was humble, he defended. Without a shadow of a doubt, he deserves this. Not just for the goals that he’s scored but also for the pressing we saw. We’ve seen such a season from him and he was exceptional,” Enrique said after his side’s Champions League win.

The win for PSG was led by a brace from Desire Doue and Achraf Hakimi, Khvicha Kvaratskhelia and substitue Senny Mayulu finding the net as the team completely thrashed Inter Milan and helped PSG win the historic title. Even though Dembele didn’t get to score the goal in final he played a crucial role in providing two assists and showcased remarkable defensive work through which he earned huge praise. His contribution has been extremely valuable and such a performance deserved Ballon d’Or.
