Rahul Dravid’s Son Follows His Legacy: Receives U-19 Call Up For Series Against Australia

At present Samit is playing for Mysore Warriors in the KSCA Maharaja T20 Trophy going on in Bengaluru

Samit Dravid, son of former India captain and coach Rahul Dravid, has been selected for the one-day and four-day series against Australia Under-19.

Son Of Rahul Dravid Receives U-19 Call-Up

Three 50-over games along with two four-day matches will be played, and the preliminary three one-day matches are slotted in Puducherry on September 21, 23, and 26, respectively, under the captaincy of Uttar Pradesh’s Mohammad Amaan. The four-day matches follow in Chennai on September 30 and October 7, respectively with Soham Patwardhan of Madhya Pradesh as the top act.

Samit Dravid’s Previous Performance

At present Samit is playing for Mysore Warriors in the KSCA Maharaja T20 Trophy going on in Bengaluru, his contribution having been somewhat modest so far-a total of 82 runs in seven innings with a highest of 33*, he is yet to bowl in the tournament.

Samit was the star of the Cooch Behar Trophy earlier this year, when he played a big role in Karnataka’s maiden title win. He made 362 runs from eight matches, including a fluent 98 against Jammu and Kashmir. His bowling, too, was pretty effective, as he ended up with 16 scalps in the tournament, including two important ones in the final against Mumbai.
