Former Indian pacer Varun Aaron has stated that the fact that different RCB players stepped up was key to the team winning big against PBKS in their qualifiers 1 clash on Thursday May 29. Suyash Sharma, who earned the Player of the Match title and Josh Hazlewood bowled three wickets apiece as PBKS were dismissed for 101 runs in just 14.1 overs. Because RCB have always been dominated by a few players, a few big batters, I would say, did the bulk of the lifting. But there was always talks about, after Virat Kohli, who’s the highest (Indian) run-scorer? Till last year, it was Rahul Dravid. This year, that has changed.”
