During this innings he achieved two significant milestones through both his record-breaking score and quick pace of his innings. SRH maintains only two instances of century scores which Abhishek reached in 80 balls ahead of Travis Head’s record-setting 76-ball century versus RCB during 2024. During the match Abhishek created panic inside the PBKS team through his precise bat strokes and dangerous playing style which overwhelmed the batting unit.
The fast fifty scored by Abhishek during the IPL placed him among a special group of significant hitters which SRH had seen. At that 19-ball mark Abhishek tied his previous record set during his century against LSG in 2024. Travis Head reached fifty matches in 16 balls as the fastest batter for the Sunrisers franchise.
His performance against RCB came at a crucial time because it revived the struggling SRH team which was experiencing a four-match losing streak. This performance created deep feelings among both the team members and the spectators. At the midpoint mark of his innings he added a heartwarming note to the pitch which said “THIS ONE IS FOR MY ORANGE ARMY!” in appreciation of their loyal support.
