The former Pakistani players Junaid Khan and Tanvir Ahmed re-emerged during Thursday’s proceedings by suggesting match-fixing could be happening in the present IPL 2025 competition. Junaid Khan made these comments following SRH’s batter Ishan Kishan’s challenging dismissal by Deepak Chahar in the IPL 2025 match on Wednesday. During the third over bowled by Deepak Chahar Kishan attempted a hitting shot towards his legs which resulted in a missed connexion. The wicket-keeper Ryan Rickelton received the ball behind the stumps as Kishan decided to return to the dugout without any appeals from the MI players.
Here’s What Junaid Khan Said
Taking to X (formerly Twitter), Junaid posted a video of Ishan’s dismissal and captioned it, “Something is suspicious”

Here’s What Tanvir Ahmed Said
“BCCI says that IPL is the biggest league in the world. Yes, that is true, but the fixing in it is also the biggest. Most teams belong to fixers.” Tanvir had written on X.

What Made These Players Claim About Match Fixing In IPL
Ishan Kishan’s decision to walk off the field during the SRH vs MI match led two former Pakistani players to claim the match was fixed. The controversy arose in the third over of SRH’s batting innings when Kishan lost sight of Deepak Chahar’s leg-side delivery. Surprisingly, Kishan left the field without any formal appeal or warning from the umpires.
