Indian batters Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma have been able to dominate with the bat as they were known in the ongoing IND vs AUS 2024-25 Test series. While, Kohli registered a century in Perth during the opening Test of the series, he has failed to repeat his performance in the remaining innings. On the other hand, Rohit has been out of touch in Test cricket from a long time and is facing criticism regarding baseless captaincy as well. Comments of former Indian cricketer Anil Kumble went viral on the social media in which he criticised both Rohit and Kohli.

One of his viral comments read, “I don’t understand how the captain doesn’t have a plan for Travis Head. He always been a problem for India. This is disgraceful captaincy.” However, Anil Kumble have taken down such comments and shared a response for the same on ‘X’. Kumble stated that all these comments which are being made by using his image on social media are fake and he hasn’t said anything like this. The post read, “It has come to my attention that some social media accounts are using my image and attributing fabricated quotes to me. I want to categorically deny any association with these accounts and their content. The statements being circulated are not my views and do not reflect my opinions in any way.”
