Army DGMO Rajiv Ghai, in the middle of the press briefing, addressed the retirement of Virat Kohli.

Seems like the chain of hearing bad news is the ‘New Normal’ nowadays. After the tragic Pahalgam Attack, the sudden retirement of former Indian captain Rohit Sharma, the outbreak of the India-Pakistan conflict, and now the retirement of cricket legend Virat Kohli from Test cricket have been reported earlier this morning. But it seems that Virat Kohli’s fandom has no limits, and it was seen today in the DGMO’s press briefing on ‘Operation Sindoor’. Army DGMO Rajiv Ghai, in the middle of the press briefing, addressed the retirement of Virat Kohli.

Operation Sindoor (By PIB Delhi)

A little while ago, the Indian Armed Forces launched ‘OPERATION SINDOOR’, hitting terrorist infrastructure in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Jammu and Kashmir from where terrorist attacks against India have been planned and directed. Altogether, nine (9) sites have been targeted.

Our actions have been focused, measured and non-escalatory in nature. No Pakistani military facilities have been targeted. India has demonstrated considerable restraint in selection of targets and method of execution.

These steps come in the wake of the barbaric Pahalgam terrorist attack in which 25 Indians and one Nepali citizen were murdered. We are living up to the commitment that those responsible for this attack will be held accountable.

Virat Kohli Test Record

Since a test batsman like Virat Kohli is known for his sound integrity as a player, his character and talent were amply demonstrated during his remarkable feats as a test batsman. Kohli in his 123 test match career, hasn’t just accumulated 9230 runs but has also posted an amazing average of 46.85 and a strike rate of 55.57. The eye-catching 254 not out demonstrates Kohli’s talent to transform set-early progress to useful runs. Having collected 30 centuries and 31 half centuries, Kohli has shown his greatness of flexibility to English seam bowlers and what is needed to face swinging balls, which is why he lands among India’s best batsmen.
