Aussies Dominate Innings

Australia dominated further by taking quick wickets, leaving New Zealand struggling at 42-5 by tea on day two. Josh Hazlewood was the last wicket to fall after a remarkable 116-run partnership with Green. At tea, New Zealand’s Tom Blundell and Glenn Phillips were at the crease, with the team facing a challenging situation.

Australia’s innings was highlighted by Green’s aggressive batting, extending his overnight score of 103 with powerful strokes, including a six that pushed Australia past 300 runs.

In their second innings, the visiting team ended the day at 13-2, with nightwatchman Nathan Lyon not out on six and opener Usman Khawaja on five. Steve Smith and Marnus Labuschagne were dismissed early, with Tim Southee getting Smith bowled with his third delivery and then having Labuschagne, who has been struggling for form, caught behind by Tom Blundell.
