During the 8th match of the Indian Premier League, Chennai Super Kings after winning the toss opted to bat first. Phil Salt and Virat Kohli came out to bat first with an intent to seal the match for the Royal Challengers. Phil Salt started aggressively but his luck ran out soon when former CSK skipper, Mahendra Singh Dhoni displayed his prowess as a world class wicketkeeper and dismissed Salt in a very Dhoni-Regular manner when during the last ball of the 4th over Noor Ahmed bowled a googly and Dhoni’s fast hands did the job again.
Thala for a reason !!
Dhoni ki stumping ….. Salt gone !!#CSKvRCB#RjAlokpic.twitter.com/8LTkMx4Mv5---Advertisement---— RJ ALOK (@OYERJALOK) March 28, 2025
The stumping resembled that of Suryakumar Yadav’s dismissal. This reinforced Dhoni’s reputation as one of the most remarkable wicketkeepers in cricket history.
