Shreyas Iyer Dropped Rachin Ravindra
On the opening delivery of the seventh over Shreyas Iyer made a desperate attempt to take Rachin Ravindra out with a catch near deep mid-wicket against Varun Chakaravarthy. Iyer ran 21 meters toward deep mid-wicket as Ravindra attempted a slog sweep that produced an aerial hit before crashing into the turf at the end of his 21-meter sprint. The catch remained out of reach for Iyer although he made an impressive running approach followed by an extended-arm dive. After hitting his hands the ball escaped his grasp allowing Ravindra to continue batting and New Zealand to score two runs. Rachin was later bowled by Kuldeep Yadav during the 10th over.
